Privacy Policy

For the Apple Watch and iPhone app GoKiteAgent · Last updated: October 2026

GoKiteAgent requires no user account and does not transmit sessions or health data to the provider or to third parties. The only outside connection is reading wind data.

What data the app processes

During a session the Watch app records the following and stores it as a file on the Apple Watch; after the session the file is transferred to the paired iPhone and stored there as well:

These files stay on your devices. They are not transmitted to the provider, not analysed and not shared with other users. You can delete them individually in the app at any time (on the Watch, on the iPhone or both) or export them to a location of your choice; an export only happens at your request via the iOS share sheet.

Apple Health

With your consent the app writes to Apple Health: the workout (water sports) with duration, route, heart rate and calories and — in the full version — the effort (Workout Effort, 1–10). With your consent the app reads from Apple Health: the heart rate of your workouts (for zones and effort) as well as date of birth, body weight and resting heart rate (as a suggestion for the fitness settings; you can override them in the app).

Health data from Apple Health is processed exclusively on the device, never transmitted to the provider or third parties, and not used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke each Health permission individually in the Health app; the app remains usable, only the affected function is lost.

Wind data from gokite.ch

The app reads the current readings of the wind stations and, after a session, the day's wind history from the server gokite.ch, which the provider operates himself. These requests contain no information about you, your session or your device — only the address of the requested file. As with any website request, the server logs technical data (IP address, time, requested file); it serves operation and troubleshooting, is not linked to individuals and is deleted after a short time.

No analytics, no advertising

GoKiteAgent contains no analytics or tracking libraries, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. No advertising identifiers are read or created, and there is no tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency.

Permissions

GoKiteAgent does not access contacts, calendars, photos, microphone or camera.

In-app purchase

The full version is a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store. Payment, invoicing and refunds are handled entirely by Apple; the provider receives no payment data and no personal information.

Data processed by Apple

Purchase, installation and updates go through the App Store. Apple processes data under its own responsibility; Apple's privacy policy applies. If you have agreed to share analytics and crash reports with app developers, Apple provides the provider with aggregated, non-personal statistics. TestFlight testers additionally send crash logs and voluntary feedback; this data is used solely to fix bugs.

Contact

If you email support@elevai.ch, you transmit your sender address and the content of the message. This is used solely to handle your request and deleted once it is closed. If you send a session file for troubleshooting, it is deleted afterwards.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Since the provider holds no personal data from the app, such requests will usually come to nothing — you may nevertheless address them to the contact above at any time. In Switzerland you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

If the app's functions change, this policy will be updated. The version published at this address applies.

In short: Your sessions belong to you. They are on your Watch, your iPhone and in your Health app — nowhere else. Only one question goes out: “What's the wind like in Gunten?”
